Born Carmel, Calif. March 15, 1939; only child of Ned Lee, Sr. and Grace Lucille (Sinclair) Simmons.
Married Barbara June (Yocom) Simmons. Dec. 31, 1968 (divorced June 1989).

Children: Valerie, Gaylene.

BS 1964 and MS 1973 in Forest Management, Humboldt State University, Arcata, Calif.

Certified Professional Forester State of California.
Consultant Forester with Western Timber Services, Arcata, Calif. (1965-1989).

Landscape Artist in Trinidad, California and proprietor of Trinidad Art Gallery (1989 to present).

Fireman, Trinidad Volunteer Fire Department.
Board member and past president Trinidad Museum Society.
Board member and past president Humboldt North Coast Land Trust.
Member Saints. Martha and Martha Episcopal Church, Trinidad.
Active in Song Circle, Born in Trunk actors, Trinidad Chamber of Commerce, and Tennis Club.
Author: Trinidad Story, 1989; Rainbow Ridge, 1991; and Crystallizations (ongoing poetry).
